YOGA STUDIO
This was a fun project designing a hot yoga studio in a small amount of space. We laid out the plan very efficiently to get the most out of the reception and arrival spaces while maximizing the studio space area. We wanted an open, upbeat, and inviting feeling so we chose a watermelon color as our accent color because "everyone looks great in pink". For our interior design concept, we started with a white background palette and then added simple layers of color and texture along with linear details for a clean, crisp, and open feeling. We focused on the lighted reception desk, the bathroom, and the shower so that the careful attention to detail taught in the yoga studio was reflected in the studio itself. This was a tight budgeted project that was fun to do. It shows that good architecture and design can be done with any budget. Thanks to Dana Hugo at J&O Design for her great help with the finishes and colors. Thanks to Marco Beltran and Extreme Builders for all their hard work building the project.
